Be My Guest

German-born Katja Green is a vocalist whose sound moves confidently between hard rock, modern metal, emotional ballads, punk, new wave energy and the storytelling warmth of country.

For the past decade, Katja has been the chief songwriter and voice of the Stuttgart-based group ICEMO. Parallel to this, she also fronts 2nd Crash, a long-established rock/metal combo founded, among others, by S.G. Stoner.

Katja Green is an artist who refuses to be boxed into a single genre. She lives through lyrics, emotion and storytelling, and that is what makes her a unique and compelling voice in every project she touches.

How It Came Together

“When V2 went down to a four-piece band and Stan came up with the guest list concept, he changed the V2 logo strapline from ‘Fast and Loud’ to ‘Fast, Loud, Dirty Rock and Roll’ to suit our new sound.

When we lost him, that line just kept shouting out at us to become the title of the first song on the new album, and that was the starting point of it all.

We turned to our friend, fabulous German rock singer Katja Green, to guest on vocals, and she didn’t disappoint.

Like all our guests, she put heart and soul — sturm und drang — into the cause. In fact, Katja became so caught up in the project that she ended up recording two tracks for us. See ‘I’m Here’ as well.

Some keen-eared fans may recall already having had a sneak preview of ‘Fast, Loud, Dirty Rock and Roll’.

This was because we were so blown away with it when it was finished that we sent a pre-release copy to Frank ‘Nolti’ Nolte, presenter of the influential New Rose Radio in Berlin.
